We reachd waynad on 20th Nov.2010 by jetlite flight @2pm
It was my first travel by plane & both Kunal and my brother Vinay, ensure it to be memorable by doing advance tele-check-in & getting a nice window-seat for me :) {though kunal complained later that I straight-away went for the window-seat without asking him even once :D hehehe.. wel datz Dipali ;) No formalities!}
It was my first flight & there was a board of my name "Dipali Kheur" waiting for me,outside the gate of Calicut(Kozikode airport)! :D Kya baat hai.! Flight was late by 50 minutes but our Driver for the complete tour - Sharath, was ready, waiting for us to get down, with his White Indica! Car was in very good condition, neat & clean. Thanx to Sharath & Mr.Swamy - my travel agent for local transport of this tour!
Our first resort @ waynad "Annapara Homestay" is approx. 60km away from the airport & it took almost 3 hrs to reach there, as its a place 2-3km away from the main road of the town, placed literally in the lap of the mountain, having breathtaking view of mountains,trees,tea-plnatations & amazingly coloured sky!The ownner of Annapara - Mr. Jafar, guided us (i.e.to our Driver) wel to the resort on phone & we reach there on a pleasent evening.
Very first thing we both did is .... Just droped our lugadge in our room, took out camera & ran out to catch the beautiful view of Chembra Peak @ sun-set time :)
When I found my camera batteries are not working properly I had to give up shooting & then I just tried to catch-up the whole scenario in my eyes.. When I found that my equally photography-freak husband is not changing his focus from camera & chembra peak, The new-born wifey instinct in me got awaken ;) So I gave my camera to Mr. Shibu - the care-taker of the resort & made kunal to pose with me for a snap!
After some time the light got weaker & Shibu serve us nice tea & snacks (Pakodas). Then he showed us the separate reading area build up just above the dining area with a small liabrary with books on various subjects including flora,fauna,yoga ect.Again, books & reading being the same intrest for both of us we laze around there itself till dinner time.
Tough Sharath was ready, we decided not to visit any tourist place for that day! Annapara Homestay was a far better place to be with nature & laze around comfortably aswel.
